Bhakarwadi is a traditional sweet and spicy tea-time snack said to have originated from the Maharashtrian cuisine. This snack is a flour based round disc shaped stuffed with a mix of poppy seeds, grated coconut, sesame seeds, coriander and cumin seeds, black pepper corns, hing, fennel seeds and little sugar all mixed together, powdered and rolled similar to a Swiss roll and cut into tiny spiral disc and then finally deep fried to a crispy finish.

Ingredients:
Besan flour 250 Grams
Whole wheat flour 250 Grams
Hing 1 Pinch
Turmeric 1 Pinch
Chilli powder 2 Teaspoons
Salt 0 0
Oil 10 ml
Fennel seeds 5 Grams
Pepper corns 2 Grams
Coriander seeds 1 Grams
Cumin seeds 1 Grams
Amchur powder 1 Grams
Sesame seeds 2 Grams
Poppy seeds 3 Grams
Coconut 5 Grams
Sugar 5 Grams
Water 250 ml
Directions:
1.In a bowl, add besan flour, whole wheat flour, pinch of hing, turmeric pd, chilli pd, salt, little oil and crumble all ingredients together to get a nice crispy texture and keep aside.
2.To prepare the masala: In the blender, add fennel seeds, pepper corns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, amchur powder, hing, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, pinch of turmeric, chilli powder, desiccated coconut, sugar and salt. Make this to a fine powder.
3.Take the dough mixture and add the spice mix powder and mix well to make stiff dough.
4.Take some dough and with help of rolling pin roll the dough. Sprinkle some spice mixture and roll again.
5.Cut the flat round dough with help of knife and air fry at 160 degree for 7 minutes.
