Chicken stock is the secret to creating a simmering tomato sauce that seasons the chicken, vegetables and pasta shells in this flavorful skillet supper.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 3/4 c. Swanson® Chicken Stock
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 small green pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 1/2 c. uncooked medium shell-shaped pasta

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 10 minutes or until it's well browned on both sides.
  2. Stir the stock, oregano, garlic powder, tomatoes, green pepper, onion and black pepper in the skillet and heat to a boil. Stir in the pasta. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
