Just a quick, basic chicken soup.

Ingredients

1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp rosemary 1/4 tsp sage 1/2 tsp salt 2 breasts, bone and skin removed chicken breasts; cut into pieces 8 cups chicken broth 14 oz green beans 1/2 cup chopped carrots 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/2 medium onion

Instructions

1. Spray stock pot with non-fat cooking spray. Sauté onions, carrots and celery in a stock pot - add some of the broth to ensure they don't burn. Add salt and pepper. 2. When the carrots begin to soften, add the cut chicken. Sauté for about 4 minutes. Add rosemary and sage. 3. Add remaining chicken broth and bring the soup to a boil. 4. When soup boils add the green beans (about 3 cups worth). 5. Cook for about 8 minutes or until green beans are tender 6. Serve! Makes five, 2 cup bowls of soup. 7. Note: add 1/4 cup cooked brown rice to your bowl before serving for more substance and try and use 99% fat free chicken broth.
