Ingredients
- 1 package store-bought pizza dough, such as Trader Joe's, or use homemade dough
- 2 or 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- About 1/4 tsp. flaked sea salt
- 2 to 3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 10 to 12 small tomatoes, halved or quartered
- 6 or 7 basil leaves, torn
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 500 ° with a pizza stone on the bottom rack.
- Roll out pizza dough on a floured pizza peel or upside-down large baking sheet. Press garlic slices into surface of dough and season with salt. Slide pizza from peel onto hot pizza stone in oven.
- Bake pizza until puffed, blistered, and browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven, drizzle liberally with oil, and top with tomatoes and basil. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
