This quick bread makes a delicious breakfast.

Ingredients

8 tablespoons butter, (1 stick) softened 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon all spice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup applesauce 2 eggs 1 cup raisins 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 °. Cream butter and brown sugar. Add the remaining ingredients except raisins and nuts. Mix well until blended. Stir in raisins and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 8 x 4 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
