This homemade cranberry sauce is quicker and easier than you'd think possible, and has a much fresher, brighter flavor than anything that comes out of a can.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. cranberries
- 1 pear
- 2 tsp. grated orange zest
- 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. apple cider or juice
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, pear, orange zest, and sugar; stir in the apple cider.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
