Ingredients
- 2 large portobello burgers, stems and gills removed
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground mustard powder
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar
- 2 brioche buns, toasted
- honey mustard, for serving
- Tomato slices, for serving
- Lettuce, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, mustard powder and worcestershire. Dip the mushroom caps in the mixture and place the mushrooms face-down on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, to taste. Bake for 10 minutes, until beginning to soften.
- Flip over mushrooms and fill each cap with shredded cheddar.
- Return to oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the mushroom is tender.
- Spread honey mustard on the bottom buns and place mushrooms on top. Top with tomato slices and lettuce.
