Cinnamon is one of the best ingredients that someone with insulin sensitivity can eat. Half a teaspoon of cinnamon per day has been shown to be very effective at normalizing blood sugar levels. Cinnamon contains hydroxychalcone, which is thought to enhance the effects of insulin. 1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp curry powder
1/4 cup cilantro
10 cloves garlic crushed
1/2 oz ginger minced
2 cups chopped onions
1 can tomatoes
1 cup water
2 lbs ground beef
1. Cook ground beef and onions over medium heat until brown and skim fat.
2. Add curry powder, garlic, ginger and tomatoes and fry for about 5 minutes.
3. Add cinnamon and cilantro, stir and add water, salt to taste.
4. Cook for 20 minutes over medium heat to blend flavors. Serve over rice.
