Bruschetta takes a turn on the sweet side with a 15-minute recipe starring creamy Nutella, sliced bananas and chopped peanuts.

Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf sourdough bread
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 2 large bananas, sliced
  • 1/3 cup salted peanuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 ºF.
  2. Cut the loaf of bread into 12 (1-inch-thick) slices. Brush the melted butter on both cut sides of each slice of bread then arrange the slices on a baking sheet. Bake the bread for 5 minutes, flip each slice over and bake an additional 3 to 5 minutes until toasted. Remove the bread from the oven and set it aside to cool slightly.
  3. Once the bread has cooled, spread a portion of the Nutella on one side of each slice of toast. Top the Nutella with a few sliced bananas and a sprinkle of the chopped peanuts. Serve immediately.
