Ingredients

  • 1 lb semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup Irish Stout beer, room temperature
  • 7 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • powdered sugar, for dusting

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Butter a 9-inch springform pan. Line bottom of pan with parchment paper. Adjust oven racks to center of the oven.
  2. Add the chocolate, butter and beer to a medium size saucepan over medium heat. Stir with a rubber spatula until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Remove from heat to cool.
