Ingredients
- 12- oz. mini rigatoni or other short pasta
- 1 bunch broccoli rabe
- 1 lb. hot Italian sausage
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions, adding broccoli rabe to the pot during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Reserve 1 cup cooking water. Drain the pasta and broccoli rabe and return them to the pot.
- Meanwhile, Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Add the reserved pasta water to the skillet and cook, scraping up any brown bits stuck to the pan.
- Toss the pasta with the sausage mixture.
