This Privacy Policy explains what information PCOS Meal Planner ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use our website and services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over your data. By using PCOS Meal Planner, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the information you give us and some information that is created as you use the service:

• Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive a Google account identifier instead of a password.
• Health and profile information you provide: answers to our PCOS questionnaire (such as symptoms, diagnosis status, cycle information, medications, weight goals, dietary preferences, and allergies), any conditions you track, and your location. This information is sensitive, and you choose to share it so we can personalize your meal plans and recommendations.
• Activity you create in the app: meal plans, saved recipes, quiz and symptom scores, symptom check-ins, weight logs, ratings, reviews, and community posts.
• Payment information: subscription payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number. We keep limited billing details such as your card brand, the last four digits, and your subscription status.
• Communications: the emails we send you and whether they were opened or clicked, and any messages you send us for support.
• Technical and usage data: your IP address, device and browser information, and cookies used for signing in and for measuring product experiments.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and personalize your meal plans, recommendations, and other features.
• To operate your account and manage your subscription and billing.
• To send you service messages, and, where relevant, product and marketing emails you can opt out of at any time.
• To understand and improve the product, using aggregated and anonymized statistics.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run PCOS Meal Planner, and only as needed to provide the service:

• Stripe for processing subscription payments.
• Our email delivery provider for sending the emails you receive from us.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
• Telegram, only if you choose to connect our Telegram channel or bot.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and our service.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: a cookie to keep you signed in, and cookies that let us run A/B experiments so we can improve the product. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Your data belongs to you. You can exercise the following at any time, directly from the "Your account & data" section of your profile page:

• Access and export your data: download a full copy of the information linked to your account as a ZIP of CSV files.
• Correct your data: update your profile details and preferences whenever you like.
• Delete your account: permanently erase your account and all associated personal data. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone, cancels any active subscription, and removes your data from our systems. Limited billing records may be retained by our payment provider where required for tax and accounting law.
• Cancel or downgrade: cancel your paid subscription and continue on the free tier while keeping your account and data, and resubscribe later if you wish.
• Manage emails: unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any email.

6. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems, except for limited billing records that our payment provider retains where required by law.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Passwords are stored in hashed form, and payments are handled by a PCI-compliant provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

PCOS Meal Planner is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

We operate from, and use service providers located in, various countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
