Ingredients

  • 6 ounces cured bacon strips
  • 1 quart heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Place the bacon on a sheet tray and bake until cooked through, about 45 minutes. Set the bacon aside and allow it to cool; break it into pieces. Put the bacon in a blender and pulse until broken down into small pieces. Transfer it to a mixing bowl and pour in the cream. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerator overnight. Strain the cream using a fine mesh sieve; discard the bacon. Hand whip the cream to soft peaks using a whisk. Spoon it onto your favorite dessert such as ice cream or apple pie.
