Ingredients
- 1 lb. penne pasta
- 6 slice bacon
- 12 oz. Brussels sprouts
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. Pepper
- 2 medium shallots
- 1/2 c. golden raisins
- 1/2 c. dry white wine
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta as label directs, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Meanwhile, in 5-quart saucepot, cook chopped bacon on medium-high 5 minutes or until crisp, stirring. Transfer bacon to plate.
- Add Brussels sprouts to fat in skillet, along with salt and pepper. Cover and cook 5 minutes (do not stir). Reduce heat to medium. Add shallots and golden raisins. Cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add white wine; cook 2 minutes, scraping up browned bits. To sprouts, add bacon, cooked pasta and reserved pasta water.
