Ingredients

  • 1 gal. apple cider
  • 1/3 cup sorghum syrup
  • 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Bring apple cider, sorghum syrup, fresh lemon juice, cinnamon sticks, ground allspice, ground ginger, and ground nutmeg to a boil in a Dutch oven over high heat; reduce heat to medium, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes. Remove cinnamon sticks. Serve hot.
