Ingredients
- 12 oz. 50%-less-fat pork sausage
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 large jalapeño peppers
- 1 tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 box reduced-fat or regular Velveeta
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. diced tomato
- 1/3 c. Chopped cilantro
- Hot pepper sauce
- Serve with: unsalted tortilla chips
Instructions
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add pork, increase heat to medium-high and cook, breaking up chunks, 2 minutes.
- Add onion and cook 5 minutes, continuing to break up sausage, until onion is almost tender. Stir in peppers and garlic; cook 2 minutes, or until sausage is cooked and onion is soft.
- Stir in cheese and milk. Reduce heat to low and stir until cheese melts. Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon into a microwave-safe serving bowl (to reheat dip during party).
