Betty demonstrates how to make Enticing Enchilada Sauce. This will be used in Betty's Kitchen as a topping for enchiladas, which will be the next video. Enticing Enchilada Sauce 10 ¾ ounce can beef broth 2/3 cup water ¼ cup melted butter ¼ cup cornstarch ½ cup chopped onion 1 finely-chopped jalapeno pepper, seeds and fibers removed 4 cloves finely-chopped garlic two 8 ounce cans tomato sauce 1 tablespoon chili powder 2 teaspoons dried oregano 2 teaspoons ground cumin seed Pour a 10 ¾ ounce can beef broth into a medium-sized saucepan. Add 2/3 cup water, ¼ cup melted butter, ¼ cup cornstarch, ½ cup chopped onion, 1 finely chopped jalapeno pepper, 4 cloves finely chopped garlic, two 8 ounce cans tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon chili powder, 2 teaspoons dried oregano, and 2 teaspoons ground cumin seed. Mix all together and stir until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce is smooth and thickened. It is ready to use on enchiladas and many other Mexican-style dishes.
