Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups cornmeal
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sour cream, milk, eggs, salt and melted butter. Bake in a greased loaf pan for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and when a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Let cool in pan.
  3. Let oven temperature reduce to 400 degrees F.
