Sweet and sticky sticks with dates, coconut and nuts.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 (8 oz) box chopped dates
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 cups crispy rice cereal
- 3 cups finely grated coconut
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add eggs, sugar and dates. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, nuts and crispy rice cereal. Cool and shape into finger-sized sticks. Roll in coconut. Makes about 45 sticks
