Masoor dal Makhani is a rich saucy gravy dish where whole masoor dal is cooked in a yummy, spicy and tangy makhani gravy flavoured with kasuri methi. Serve with roti, chapatti etc.

Ingredients:
Masoor dal (lentil) 1 cup
Ghee 2 tb
Cumin seeds ½ ts
Ginger and garlic juliennes (each) 2 n
Green chilly 3 n
Red chilly paste 1 ts
Tomato 3 n
Slat
Butter 3 tb
Cream 2 tb
Directions:
First boil the dal with skin on till very soft,
Heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds, juliennes of ginger and garlic, once this lightly sauté add chopped onion, green chilly, red chilly paste, and tomato, salt, put the lid on and cook for 10 minutes in a slow flame, add water and cooked lentil, and add butter cook this dal in a slow flame for 15 minutes, then add cream (optional)
Serve this hot with chapatti.
