Cabbage Vatana Curry is an amazing side dish made with dry white peas also commonly known as vatana cooked along with cabbage, potatoes combined with some flavourful spices. Tastes extremely good with roti, chapatti, phulkas or rice! http://www.vahrehvah.com/cabbage-vatana-curry Ingredients: Vatana (Dry white peas), boiled - 1 cup Cumin seeds - 1 tsp Garlic, chopped - ½ tsp Ginger, chopped - ½ tsp Onions, chopped - 1 no Salt - to taste Green chillies, chopped - 1 tsp Channa masala pd - 2 tsp Water - as needed Cabbage, cut nicely - 100 gms Potatoes, boiled - 2 nos Tomato, cut - 1 no Coriander leaves, for garnish - few Oil for cooking Method: Add oil in a pan and when it gets heated, add cumin seeds. When they splutter, add garlic, ginger, onion and salt. Saute well until the onion get a nice colour. Add green chillies, boiled white peas, channa masala powder. Mix well. Add little water and cook for about 2-3 mins. Add cabbage, boiled potatoes and mix well. Add tomato pieces and fresh coriander leaves. Cover with lid and cook for about 3 minutes on very slow flame. Serve with roti, chapati, phulkas or rice.
