- 2 Red Velvet Cake layers
- 12 oz. bittersweet chocolate
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 2 tbsp. dark rum
- 2 tbsp. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Instructions
- In large bowl, with mixer on medium-high speed, beat cream cheese, butter, and confectioners' sugar until smooth and fluffy. Place 1 cake layer on cake plate; spread top with frosting. Place other cake layer on top.
- In 3-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup, rum, water, and salt to boiling, stirring. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate until smooth.
- Pour chocolate glaze over cake and let drip down sides.
