Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon (recommended: Maker's Mark)
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 ounce Sugar Gum, recipe follows
  • 2 dashes bitters (recommended: Peychaud's)
  • Ice cubes, for shaking
  • Pinch fresh mint
  • Shaved ice
  • 4 muddled blackberries

Instructions

  1. Add the bourbon, juices, Sugar Gum and bitters to a metal cocktail shaker. Top with ice cubes, seal and shake vigorously.
  2. Fill a small mason jar with ice cubes and fresh mint. Strain the liquid over the ice and stir. Top with shaved ice. Garnish with the muddled blackberries.
