Recipe by Lindsay Funston Move over, sliders. This adorable appetizer is your new favorite way to eat a cheeseburger.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. yellow mustard
  • kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese, cut into squares the size of your meatballs
  • 6 pieces Bibb lettuce, torn into large pieces
  • 1/3 c. dill pickle chips
  • 1/3 c. cherry tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Make slider mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Worcestershire, and mustard and season with salt and pepper. Mix until fully combined, then form into meatball-sized slider patties.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Cook meatballs until your desired doneness, 12 to 14 minutes for medium.
  3. Top meatballs with cheddar and cover with lid to melt, 2 minutes.
  4. Assemble appetizer skewers by layering slider, lettuce, pickle, and tomato.
