Pudalangai / Snake gourd kootu is a tasty and very easy kootu that goes well with white rice and any kara kuzhambu. http://www.vahrehvah.com/pudalangai-kootu-recipe-snake-gourd-kootu Ingredients: Chana daal ½ cup Tur daal ½ cup Oil 1 tb Cumin seeds 1 ts Pepper corns 1 ts Coconut grated 1 tb Snake gourd 250 g Salt Turmeric Garbanzo/ kabuli channa 50 g Coconut oil 1 tb Mustard seeds ¼ ts Cumin seeds ¼ ts Urad daal 1 ts Red chilly 4 n Hing Curry leaves 2 sp Directions: First boil the chana daal and tur daal keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, pepper corns, grated coconut, cook this till coconut is golden in colour, let it cool down and put it in to the blender and make a paste. Heat water in a pan add snake gourd pieces, salt, turmeric put the lid on and let it cook for 5 minutes till snake gourd is tender. Add boiled garbanzo (kabuli channa), add prepared paste and boiled daal mix it well.
