Ingredients

  • 4 shots espresso (about 1 1/2 ounces each)
  • 1 1/3 cups whole milk
  • Crushed ice, for serving
  • Special equipment: 4 small mason jars

Instructions

  1. 1/4 cup Cinnamon Simple Syrup, recipe follows
  2. Combine the espresso, flavored simple syrup, and milk in a small pitcher. Fill each of the mason jars with crushed ice. Pour the latte mixture over the ice and serve immediately.
  3. In a saucepan combine water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks over medium heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, until the sugar has dissolved. Take the pan off the heat and cool the syrup. Any extra cooled syrup can be saved in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  4. Yield: 1 cup
