Sweet-and-sour sauce gets a personality transfusion from chili sauce in a flavorful blend basted on grilled pork chops.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sweet-and-sour sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 4 boneless pork loin chops (about 3/4 inch thick)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Heat gas or charcoal grill. In 1-quart saucepan, mix sweet-and-sour sauce, chili sauce and ginger. Sprinkle pork chops with garlic powder and paprika.
- When grill is heated, place pork chops on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill over medium coals; cover grill. Cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once or twice and brushing with sauce mixture during last 5 minutes of cooking, until pork chops are no longer pink and meat thermometer inserted in center of pork reads 160 °F.
- Heat any remaining sauce mixture to boiling; serve with pork chops.
