Sweet-and-sour sauce gets a personality transfusion from chili sauce in a flavorful blend basted on grilled pork chops.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sweet-and-sour sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 boneless pork loin chops (about 3/4 inch thick)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Heat gas or charcoal grill. In 1-quart saucepan, mix sweet-and-sour sauce, chili sauce and ginger. Sprinkle pork chops with garlic powder and paprika.
  2. When grill is heated, place pork chops on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill over medium coals; cover grill. Cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once or twice and brushing with sauce mixture during last 5 minutes of cooking, until pork chops are no longer pink and meat thermometer inserted in center of pork reads 160 °F.
  3. Heat any remaining sauce mixture to boiling; serve with pork chops.
