  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. Divide onion slices and cucumbers into jars.
  2. Stir sugar, vinegar, mustard seeds, celery seeds, turmeric, and salt in a bowl until sugar and salt have dissolved; pour the pickling syrup over the onion and cucumber slices. Cover jars with lids and refrigerate for 1 week before opening.
