Made with a mixture of ground beef and ground turkey, this juicy loaf pairs savory flavor with a lean profile.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. extra-lean ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. ground turkey breast
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup Progresso™ Plain Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 °F. Spray 9x5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except barbecue sauce; mix well. Press mixture in pan. Brush barbecue sauce over top.
  2. Bake at 350 °F. for 60 to 70 minutes or until thoroughly cooked in center and thermometer inserted into center registers 160 °F. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
