Recipe by Candace Braun Davison
You could top the cake with cream cheese frosting, if you're a purist—or you could go all out with a scoop of ice cream. (Because why not?)
Ingredients
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1 can cream soda
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 14 ounces
- 1 half-gallon vanilla (or cheesecake) ice cream
- 1 jar caramel sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 ° F. Combine the spice cake mix and can of cream soda, then bake for 33-35 minutes.
- Let the cake cool for 20 minutes, then use the bottom of a wooden spoon (or other utensil) to poke holes all over the top of the cake. Fill the holes with sweetened condensed milk.
- Place the cake in the fridge to set for the next 2 hours.
- Slice into individual servings, then scoop ice cream on top of each piece. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
