Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate pudding mix
- 1 1/2 c. coffee liqueur, like Kahlúa
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 11-ounce bag caramels (save some for garnish)
- 1/2 c. chocolate chips (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease (with butter or oil) a 9x9 square cake pan (see note).
- Mix chocolate pudding and coffee liqueur together in medium mixing bowl.
- Add chocolate cake mix to the pudding and coffee mixture. Stir together until combined. The mixture will be thick.
- Spoon the cake batter into baking dish and top with unwrapped caramels. Set aside a handful of caramels for decorating.
- Bake your cake for 25 to 30 minutes or until set.
- Melt chocolate chips and caramels in separate glass bowls, then decorate the warm cake with chocolate and caramel drizzle.
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
