Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
On a lightly floured surface, roll out first pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12x18 inches.
-
Spread Nutella over surface of pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the Nutella.
-
Starting with the edge closest to you, tightly roll the dough up and pinch the edge to seal. You'll now have a long roll.
-
Cut the roll in half crosswise.
-
Turn both halves so they are perpendicular to the horizontal edge of your working surface. Cut the rolls in half lengthwise.
-
Make an X with two of the cut pieces of dough (keeping the exposed chocolate facing up). Repeat with the other cut pieces.
-
Twist the two pieces of dough above and below where the X is formed. Repeat with the other cut pieces.
-
Repeat the whole process with the other pizza dough, starting with rolling out the pizza dough.
-
Make egg wash. Lightly beat together egg and cream.
-
Transfer twists to prepared baking sheet. Brush with egg wash. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
-
Let cool in pan until cool enough to handle. Dust with powdered sugar.
