Fun little chicken strips, quick-fried and glazed with a spicy-sweet sauce, are perfect as an app or entree.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Paula Deen Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 lb chicken breast halves, boneless, skinless and sliced lengthwise into 1/2-inch wide strips
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Whisk together hot sauce, butter, honey, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Toss chicken strips with flour in a large bowl until coated; shake off excess flour.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large sauté pan over medium high heat; add half the chicken strips and sauté until browned, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer chicken to hot sauce mixture and toss to coat. Repeat with remaining oil and chicken strips.
  4. Serve on a bed of lettuce with white bread.
