Drink: Corpse Reviver

Recipe by /contributors/dale-degroff Who cares what is in this cocktail? The name sold me when I read it in Harry Craddock's The Savoy Cocktail Book (1930). This is one of many variations.

This recipe includes superfoods such as:

Lemon

Health benefits of Corpse Reviver

Lemons can help to prevent oxidative damage to the body, which women with PCOS are often susceptible to. Lemons are also rich in vitamin C, flavonoids, and other antioxidants. They can potentially support the immune system and have other health benefits. Lemons also have a low glycemic index, so they should not cause a rapid rise in blood sugar when consumed in natural form.

Ingredients

1 ounce gin
1/2 ounce Cointreau
1/2 ounce Lillet Blonde
3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
Dash of Absente

Instructions

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
