3 ounces loose-leaf tea of your choice
36 No. 1-size coffee filters (we used natural, unbleached ones)
Fill a filter with about 2 tsp. tea. (1 oz. of tea should fill 12 filters.) Fold filter to create tea bag. Staple a 4-inch length of food-safe string to top, sealing pleats with staple. Attach a tag to other end of string. Repeat with remaining tea and filters.
How to Turn Coffee Filters into Tea Bags 1. Working with 1 filter at a time, fill with 2 tsp. loose-leaf tea. 2. Bring top right-hand corner toward center; crease. 3. Repeat with top left-hand corner, crossing over initial fold. 4. Create a second, smaller fold at top right. 5. Repeat on top left. 6. Fold top down about 1/2 inch and crease. 7. Staple string over final fold to seal tea bag.
GIVE IT Place 6 tea bags in a tin or box. Add label and include brewing instructions.
